The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has felicitated with Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.
In a Press Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Dennis Otu, the Speaker urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of godliness, charity, perseverance and spiritual intercession for Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general as they celebrate Eid El- Kabir.
While wishing Muslim brothers and sisters happy celebration, the Speaker appealed to them not to relent in their prayers for total healing of the land of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
He admonished them in line with advisories from the state government and the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 to ensure they observe the health protocols of social and physical distancing, wearing of facemask and regular handwashing with soap and running water.
Rt. Hon. Oborevwori further enjoined them to always promote acts that enhance national integration and brotherhood.
“Once again, I felicitate with our dear Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate this year’s Eid E Kabir”, he stated.
